Professor Yanfeng Li is a Chief Physician of Neurology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) and President of the Beijing Society for Neurodegenerative Diseases. He received his Ph.D. in 1996 from the Graduate School of Peking Union Medical College.

Professor Li has devoted his career to the clinical practice and scientific research of neurodegenerative disorders. He was the first to report a Chinese family with familial amyloid polyneuropathy (FAP) and conducted pioneering pathological and genetic studies in this field. He has also made significant contributions to research on Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.

Professor Li founded China’s first professional academic organization dedicated to neurodegenerative diseases and serves as the chief editor of a major Chinese monograph on neurodegenerative disorders. He has published nearly 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers
